ROSA at the international watercolour contest Step by Step

ROSA at the international watercolour contest Step by Step

Step by Step — is an international watercolour art project created for artists from all over the world by Ukrainian Yulia Kochetova in Gdansk (Poland).
The main idea of the festival — is to exchange experience and skills among professional artists, to find new fresh ideas for their own work, and to provide training for beginning artists.

ROSA has repeatedly participated in the Step by Step festival as an art partner of the online event. This year, from August 22 to 25, we were present at the watercolour event in Gdansk with a demonstration of ROSA products. It is very symbolic that it was on such important days for our country: Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine, ROSA presented the Ukrainian product to world artists - the entire palette of professional watercolours ROSA Gallery of 80 colours in tubes and cuvettes. Artists from different countries tested all ROSA Gallery watercolours and chose their favorites.  The favorites of the Step by Step - 2024 watercolour plein air were royal brown and royal blue.

The program of the Step by Step project was interesting and full of contests, watercolour presentations by manufacturers, lectures and demo workshops by the world's best artists.

In the first phase of the project, participants sent their works to the competition online, and in the second phase, the finalists and nominees for prizes in various categories were awarded at an event meeting.

About 500 artists from 60 different countries took part in the contest, and the number of works from one participant was unlimited. And from this number of incredible, talented works, 3 main prizes were selected:

3 main prizes were selected:
1st place - Alexander Bobryshev with his painting "Portrait of the Artist". A bright, dreamy image of an artist who looks with warmth and joy into a bright future.

The ROSA Gallery watercolour sets will travel to different parts of the world and inspire their owners to create new brilliant works.

All the participants of the event were able to enjoy demo master classes by talented Ukrainian artists: Alexandra Bryksa, Serhiy Lysyy, Alexander Bobryshev, Samira Yanushkova, who were working with ROSA Gallery watercolours. And those who wished to do so were able to take part in a collaborative plein air by international professional artists from different countries at different locations. Serhiy Lysyy held a plein air painting the mysterious and majestic architecture of ancient Gdansk, and on the next day a group of artists led by Alexander Bobryshev went to the city of Sopot for a plein air by the sea. The participants could not only learn from the masters, but also receive gifts for the best works.

Among the plein air works, the ROSA prize was awarded to the artist Janna Liebender-Folz.
Throughout the event, all interested participants had the opportunity to test ROSA Gallery watercolours and communicate with the brand's team.
ROSA is happy to be a part of this incredible celebration of watercolours and beauty, and we are happy to find new good relations.

It's nice that the Ukrainian brand ROSA is known, used and loved all over the world. This really inspires our team to create new high-quality materials that will bring joy to artists around the world.
We thank the organizer of the Step by Step festival, Yulia Kochetova, for organizing this inspiring project and for the opportunity to be involved in an incredible watercolour celebration.

Special thanks to our partner in Poland, Koh-i-noor, due to whose participation all the participants had the opportunity to purchase ROSA Gallery watercolours.
