On September 23, 2024, 12 artists from Rivne, Boryspil, and Lviv, accompanied by the organizer of the "Sea of Watercolours" exhibition, Lyudmila Stepanyan, visited the production of Ukrainian art paints ROSA.
Artists and teachers: Yana Vlasko, Oksana Chernachuk, Oksana Karpenko, Kateryna Popovchuk, Olena Anoprienko, Katia Shyova, Nataliia Havryk, Olha Doroshuk, Olha Terenchuk, Olha Polianska, Nataliia Artiukh learned about the entire cycle of creating of professional watercolours, which they use in their work every day.
Exploring department after department, the artists were introduced to the full range of production processes:
- research and selection of raw materials;
- the process of developing recipes;
- development of test samples in the laboratory;
- actual production;
- quality control of manufactured products;
- labeling and packaging of paints in the production departments.
The participants and a ROSA technologist attempted to create carmine pigment paint in a mortar, just as craftsmen did in ancient times. They then compared it with the factory-made colour. We are pleased that the responsible process of paint production arouses sincere admiration and inspires artists. The technologists of the company shared interesting details and important aspects of work, requirements, and product standards that ROSA brand follows in production. The artists were introduced to the traditional production of bases for painting and saw for themselves the importance of handwork in the production of canvases.
The excursion participants met the "R&D" department employees in the ROSA office, where new ideas are generated and the specifications of all ROSA products are approved. They were introduced to the entire range of brand materials and groups and tested ROSA watercolour paints and brushes.
We would like to thank the participants of the excursion for choosing ROSA materials for their works, for useful feedback, feedback on ROSA materials, and for their wishes and expectations for future watercolour products!
