Our partner Mariana Tomyn is a Ukrainian artist specializing in watercolour graphics and urban sketches.
The artist graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University. Mariana is involved in garden landscape design, is passionate about colour and architecture, and actively participates in exhibitions and festivals in Ukraine and worldwide. The artist took part in ABU RAWASH PRIZE 2018 International Contest, where 336 artists from all over the world were represented.
Mariana mainly works with gel liners and watercolours, creating amazing works with delicate details and vibrant colours. The artist demonstrates skillful use of the watercolour technique. The light manner of painting with the use of graphic lines, pure translucent colour spots, and the small format of the works make them look like book illustrations.
Architecture is the predominant theme in her sketches, in which the artist depicts buildings with incredible precision and a sense of space, conveying their uniqueness and character.
