Our partner, Mykhailo Rychkov, is a master of watercolour miniatures and a member of the international watercolor society IWS Ukraine. The artist was born in Kharkiv in 1968 and studied at the art school named after I.E. Repin during his school years. Mykhailo is a civil engineer by education and has been living in Kyiv since 2012.

Mykhailo Rychkov developed an interest in watercolour in 2014 when he had to stay at home with his little daughter. In watercolour, the artist likes unpredictability the most, because you don't know how it will behave until the last moment.

The artist prefers to paint small or miniature cityscapes, as they are convenient and mobile, making it easy to take them with you. Mykhailo actively participates in exhibitions and festivals in Ukraine and worldwide. He also conducts master classes, sharing watercolour techniques with everyone from beginners to professional artists.

ROSA is thankful to Mykhailo Rychkov for his collaboration and the beautiful painting "Kyiv, Ilinska Street" which captures the city's atmosphere on the cover of the ROSA Gallery watercolour sketchbook in Ultramarine colour.

The sketchbook's pages are sewn together and encased in a hardcover with "linen" embossing. This method of sketchbook production makes the notebook durable and suitable for regular use, for making quick sketches while traveling or on a walk, creating sketches in the open air, and for long-term storage of completed works.
A vertical rubber band closure prevents the notebook from untimely opening and keeps the sheets together.

Mykhailo Rychkov's artworks are compact and mobile, allowing people to enjoy cityscapes regardless of their location.
