Important changes in the production of the stretcher bars!
In order to reduce the weight of the stretcher bars, and keep and reduce the price of large stretcher bars, starting from May 2023 we have changed the thickness of the braces and the stretcher bars of the sizes from 70*70 or when one of the sides is larger than 80 cm.
Previously, we used stretcher bars No. 1 (18*40 mm) for the production of stretched canvases with sizes from 15x50 to 60x80 cm.
From now on, stretcher bars No. 1 will be used for stretcher bars with the following sizes:
from 15x50 cm to 160x160 cm inclusive (the maximum size of stretcher bars No. 1 is 160 cm):
• ROSA Gallery cotton
• ROSA fine grain, linen
• Unico fine and medium grain, cotton
from 15*15 cm to 100x100 cm inclusive:
• ROSA linen, medium and coarse grain
• Unico jute
Stretcher bars No. 2 (22*55 mm) was used for the production of stretched canvases with sizes from 71x71 cm or when one of the sides is more than 80 cm.
From now on, we use stretcher bars No. 2 for stretcher bars with the sizes:
from 161x161 cm or when one of the sides is larger than 160 cm:
• ROSA Gallery cotton
• ROSA fine grain, linen
• Unico fine and medium grain, cotton
from 101x101 cm or when one of the sides is larger than 100 cm:
• ROSA medium and coarse grain, linen
• Unico jute
Also, in the period from April to May, the size of the brace in the stretched bars will be gradually changed from 55 cm to 50 cm. The braces will be installed according to the current scheme.
Please note that you can still order stretched bars of any size of Stretched Bar No. 2 if thicker stretched bars are required for your technique. This kind of item is a special order and requires more time to manufacture.
