Flowers and flower compositions are abundantly represented in Halyna's work, this is a separate theme in painting. In the work of modern artists, flowers retain a symbolic meaning that began in ancient times. It has long been believed that each person has their own plant, their own flower, depending on the date of birth. There is music of sounds and words that people like to listen to and there is music of colours and shapes.

The artist says: "Colour, the feeling of colour, is extremly important to me. That's why I admire the works of Adalbert Erdeli. I've studied the works of Fernand Leger, Robert Delaunay. I am impressed by the paintings of Mykhailo Vrubel, who was noted for his high work capacity. Kazimir Malevich's Suprematism inspires the creation of abstract works. I am very interested in the paintings of Oleksa Novakivskyi and Olena Kulchytska. I have been painting all my life - oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, and painting on glass. Since 2014, after undergoing a complex operation, I have focused on watercolours painting, the main topic is "Flowers". Watercolours have brought back the forgotten sense of the taste of life. When I paint flowers, I am happy…"

"Communication is always the most important thing in such events," says Halyna Otchych. "Our group of lovers of watercolours and those who paint with it includes 3,000 people. And everyone has their own level of skill and their own features. Of course, not all of us have gathered in Lviv, but those who are present, demonstrate their professionalism and exchange experiences. And this is the festival that inspires and gives an incentive."
